Based on Jamaican soil, Salada Foods Jamaica Limited manufactures instant coffees, powders and teas to world-class standards. Salada Foods has been a proud member of the Jamaican coffee processing industry since 1958.
With a competent team primarily originating from Trench Town – the birthplace of Reggae – and its environs, Salada Foods is the largest of four processing plants in the country and the only soluble coffee processing plant in the English-speaking Caribbean. Jamaica is the home of a wide variety of potent herbs and roots, which are renowned for providing immunity-boosting properties as well as other health benefits. In 2012, Salada Foods leveraged this scientific knowledge and direct access to Jamaican farmers, combined with the plant’s capacity to convert natural extracts to instant powder, to become a stronger competitor in the hot beverage market. It is from this thrust that the Jamaica Mountain Peak Instant Ginger Teas were introduced to the market. Made from homegrown Jamaican Ginger, our instant teas are known for their potent flavour and therapeutic benefits.
Salada Foods launched its immune-boosting Instant Ginger Turmeric teas under the Jamaica Mountain Peak brand in 2020. Salada Foods enjoys healthy support for its products in both the domestic and export markets, where its brands are widely available in Diaspora territories, such as the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and China.
To further diversify the product portfolio, the Roberts brand was purchased in 2013. Salada Foods currently carries the fruit juice portfolio [Fruit Punch and Carrot Juices] from the Roberts line. The Roberts name represents the traditional goodness and wholesomeness of Jamaican cuisine and is always attuned to both science and consumer demand.
Aside from its own line of brands, Salada Foods offers private label services for leading regional distributors. Offering unique blends of instant powders in jars, sachets and/or pouches, Salada Foods is the contractor of choice for top brands such as Caribbean Dreams, Jablum and Royal Montego to name just a few!
