Sorrel Drink


  • 1 pound raw sorrel
  • 8 (4g) sachets Jamaica Mountain Peak Instant Ginger Tea (Unsweetened)
  • 8 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar (or to individual taste)
  • 6 whole cloves (optional)
  • 8 pimento seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white rum (optional)


  • Wash Sorrel
  • Place sorrel, ginger, cloves, and pimento (optional) in a stainless steel container
  • Pour on boiling water, cover ad leave to infuse for 4-6 hours
  • Strain, add sugar, rum (optional) and mix well
  • Pour int serving container
  • Served chilled
